How much ever I went through the net, I could not find any good channels that covered the basics tutorials for maintaining your Bullet. With that there came the need for the products that could help maintain your Bullet. So I have started this blog as a means for covering both these aspects. I have for a long time looked for a chain lubricant that was not a messy affair. In my search for that perfect chain lube I tried Motul, Rolon, Eurogold and Diamond. All of them seemed to follow the same formula. A pressurised spray can that would deposit a film of lubricant. In all of them the lubricant would dry off to become a sticky substance that would be dirt magnet. As I travelled this sticky dirt would then fling off the chain and coat the steel rims of my Bullet. I was also not sure how effective a lubricant would be with all the dirt particles that it attracts. I started looking for non sticky chain lubricant or clean chain lubricants. After all my research I zeroed in on 'Dupont dry wax chain lube' and 'Bel ray chain lube'. All my bike buddies in US and UK recommended it and gave positive reviews. However there was no way to import it from there. Even if I could import it the price was so prohibitive that I could purchase a Bullet chain in the same amount. When I had almost given up I chanced upon this product from TriboCor.


Pros or advantages of Tribocor Dry Type Chain Lube (TC 212)

Best thing I found about this chain lubricant is that it is non sticky. It deposits a white wax like stuff on the chain which is smooth to touch. Secondly it dries much quicker than other lubricants. It has very low fling off so it does not dirty your wheel rims. It does not attract dirt or dust so it keeps your chain clean. It also repels water so protects your chain from rust.

Cons or issues with Tribocor Dry Type Chain Lube (TC 212)

The spray is quite inconsistent. Sometimes you get a fine spray, other times you get big blobs of waxy substance. I would have loved it more if the residue was colourless. The white residue kind off looks odd on the motorcycle chain. Also though the price is cheaper than international dry wax lubricants, still it is costlier than most chain lubricants available in India. Also the product is not openly available in the market and only available online

Further improvements required in Tribocor Dry Type Chain Lube (TC 212)

The spray needs to spray in a consistent fine manner so that the lubricant coats everywhere evenly. Product needs to be more easily available.

Usage tips for Tribocor Dry Type Chain Lube (TC 212)

Clean the chain with chain cleaner or WD 40 before using. Shake it vigorously before use. Start by lubricating the inner side of the chain and then do a very fine spray on the outside of the chain.

    Looks like an imitation of Champion chain lube! Dont know which one came to market first, but I would assume it is Champion. Was using it for an year and pretty satisfied with Champion. Now I use Dupont though...

      Where did you buy the Dupont from and how much was it? I think this is the Teflon based dry wax isn't it?

      Tribocor made the first chain lube in spray form in India, approx. 15 years back. You can do the math.

    Nice one !! through specialty lubricants friction gets reduced and it becomes easy to press the shackle and turn the key.
